Ang OpenSchema na paraan ay maaaring ibalik ang Recordset na objek, na naglalaman ng impormasyon tungkol sa paraan ng data source. Halimbawa, ang impormasyon ng schema ay maaaring kasama ang pangalan ng table, ang pangalan ng column sa table, at ang uri ng datos ng bawat column. Ang Recordset ay mabuksan sa paraan na readonly at static cursor mode.

Syntax

Set rs=objconn.OpenSchema(querytype,criteria,schemaid)
Parameter Description
querytype

Required. Any SchemaEnum Value indicating the type of schema query to run.

Note: The OLEDB specification only requires three SchemaEnum values to be supported: adSchemaTables, adSchemaColumns, and adSchemaProviderTypes.
criteria Optional. An array of query constraints for each QueryType option, as listed in SchemaEnum.
schemaid GUID for provider mode query not defined by OLE DB specification. If QueryType is set to adSchemaProviderSpecific, then this parameter is required. Otherwise, it will not be used.
