องค์ประกอบ <xsl:apply-templates> สามารถนำแบบที่นี้มาปรับโปรงองค์ประกอบปัจจุบันหรือลูกองค์ประกอบขององค์ประกอบปัจจุบัน

หากเราเพิ่มคุณสมบัติ select ให้กับองค์ประกอบ <xsl:apply-templates> องค์ประกอบนี้จะประมวลผลเพียงองค์ประกอบที่ตรงกับค่าของคุณสมบัติที่กำหนด พวกเราสามารถใช้คุณสมบัติ select มากำหนดลำดับที่องค์ประกอบถูกประมวลผล
