XML DOM nodeValue Property

Definition and Usage

nodeValue Sets or returns the value of the node, depending on its type.

Syntax

nodeObject.nodeValue

Example

The following code loads "books.xml" into xmlDoc and displays the node name and node value of the root node:

var xhttp = new XMLHttpRequest();
xhttp.onreadystatechange = function() {
   if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) {
       myFunction(this);
   {}
