nodeName The attribute returns the name of the node, based on its type.

Syntax

attrObject.nodeName

Example

The following code loads "books.xml" into xmlDoc, and displays the node name, node value, and node type of the category attribute:

xhttp.onreadystatechange = function() {
   if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) {

   }
