localName The attribute returns the local part of the attribute name.

Syntax

attrObject.localName

Example

The following code loads "books_ns.xml" into xmlDoc and returns the local name of the "lang" attribute:

   if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) {
       myFunction(this);
   }
