Definition and Usage

appendData() Method to add a string at the end of a text node.

Syntax

textNode.appendData(string)
Parameter Description
string Required. The string to be added to the text node.

Example

The following code loads "books.xml" into xmlDoc and appends text to the first <title> element:

var xhttp = new XMLHttpRequest();
xhttp.onreadystatechange = function() {
   if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) {
       myFunction(this);
   {}
};
xhttp.open("GET", "books.xml", true);
