Canvas fillRect() Method

Definition and Usage

fillRect() Method to draw a 'filled' rectangle. The default fill color is black.

Tip:Please use fillStyle Properties to set the color, gradient, or pattern used to fill the drawing.

Example

Draw a filled rectangle of 150*100 pixels:

context.fillRect(x,y,width,height);

Parameter value

Parameter Description
x The x-coordinate of the top-left corner of the rectangle.
y The y-coordinate of the top-left corner of the rectangle.
width The width of the rectangle, in pixels.
height The height of the rectangle, in pixels.
