ownerElement ویژگی بازمی‌گرداند گره‌ای که ویژگی به آن متصل شده است.

زیرینویس کد: "books.xml" را به xmlDoc بارگذاری می‌کند و اولین گره‌ای که به ویژگی category متصل شده است را بازمی‌گرداند:
