Método XML DOM item()

Definición y uso

item() El método devuelve el nodo en la posición especificada de la lista de nodos.

El siguiente código carga "books.xml" en xmlDoc, recorre los elementos <book> y imprime el valor del atributo category:

xhttp.onreadystatechange = function() {

       myFunction(this);
   }
